“I first worked as an unqualified primary teacher. Due to the poor salary I left teaching and I went back home to help my parents with digging and other chores around the house. In 2009 I found out about AFRIpads through a friend who used to pass by my home. She was already working with AFRIpads and told me about it. The best thing about AFRIpads is that there is strong teamwork among the employers and employees. And they also pay me the best salary. I was so proud when we celebrated that we sold 500,000 kits sold. I never thought we would achieve that in only 5 years. My future plan is to buy a plot of land and build my own home.”Judith Nassaka – AFRIpads Production Supervisor
“I started working with AFRIpads in April 2012, so I made 3 years in April 2015!
I have been enjoying my work since then. I love my job and I love working with women and young school girls in communities who have always had trouble with what to use when they are in their menstrual periods. I like the product because it is a sustainable solution to these challenges. Also it is very cost effective and affordable therefore making it available to these girls and women have changed their lives and I am happy I have been part of the change!”
